TESTIMONY It was a rainy afternoon a few weeks ago

TESTIMONY It was a rainy afternoon a few weeks ago and a young man passing by our home called up up to one of our crew and asked, “Is this an apartment building?” “No” the reply came back, “It’s a mission house.” A few moments later, I saw the young man in corner of the house seeking shelter from the heavy rain. David approached him and their brief greeting turned into a two and half hour deep conversation. We learned he was from Rwanda and came to the Philippines to study. Though Catholic by upbringing, he joined a Protestant church in Baguio at the invitation of one of his classmates. Sadly, this church was not a good representation of Lord to him and he left burned and questioning faith and Christianity. He was surprisingly transparent with us about his struggles and yet excited to hear about our home. He stayed long after the ran passed that afternoon and we invited him to come back for coffee. He came back, not once but half a dozen times! Last week we started reading one of Ravi Zacharias’ books together. Our discussions have been deep and meaningful. God is moving in his life and he is hungry! Please pray with us for our new friend. We can see the favor of God on this home that even before it’s finished God is using it for His glory! #buildinglives #nothgatecentral #Godismoving

It’s common for contractors to only provide one meal a day for their crew but we give our crew 3 meals a day! God is moving in our crew. It is incredible to witness. Our crew is a blend of pastors and church leaders who have been long time friends and people we only met when we hired. Many of the later came from challenging situations and were far from the Lord with no direction in life. One by one we are watching God change their lives as they surrender to Him. The change is significant and visible in so many ways. Writing like this in the first layer of concrete are little glimpses of big things happening in their hearts. “I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.”
