Prayer request - we are in the middle of a strong

Prayer request - we are in the middle of a strong typhoon. A tree just fell on the power lines outside of our house. We are safe and dry inside and worshipping our way through this. Please pray for all of those in vulnerable housing and for the first responders. Baguio already lost one lineman. Thank you!

What if the Lord takes pleasure in the the things

What if the Lord takes pleasure in the the things people don’t esteem as successful? What if the things we work so hard to do for the Lord are not what He really cares about?

Worshiping with a small congregation, in a partially finished structure on the side of a mountain, with a single guitar and a humble sound system, we felt the presence of the Lord. They cooked food from their gardens and we shared the fruit of their labor. We felt a sincere hunger for the Lord to move in their community.

God is pleased by a hungry heart. He meets it. God is pleased by a community that cares for one another. He receives it as love expressed to Him.

For the Lord to look on us with pleasure, is most important, even if the world never sees it as success, because this is all the matters in eternity.

Last Saturday our hall was filled with laughter as our neighborhood kids enthusiastically enjoyed our Saturday kids program. We are grateful for the opportunity to be a part of these children’s lives.

Yesterday, our space was full of very happy kids!

Yesterday, our space was full of very happy kids! Last summer we held a VBS for the kids in our neighborhood and we have continued to meet them on a regular basis. For almost all of them this was their very first time hearing the Gospel. It’s a beautiful thing that God is doing here. Please pray with us as we continue to reach out to the families around us.
